There is no doubt that technology has had a huge impact on our daily lives, but the question is exactly how much? Today we are going to be diving deep into the rabbit hole and finding 5 pieces of technology that is changing our lives as we speak.
This list is in no particular order, so without further ado let’s get started.
Table of Contents
1) Personal Computers
We are going to off our list with the thing that started it all, personal computers. The first personal computer was made in 1983, this was the revolution that laid the foundation for all the advancements that humans have made over the years. For the first time in history, humans were able to use computers for their personal uses. The personal computer has seen countless upgrades over the years and today a personal computer has enough power to calculate everything that is needed to land a person on the moon.
Computers helped men achieve all that we have accomplished to date and we couldn’t start the list mentioning the piece of tech that started it all.
2) Exoskeletons
Exoskeletons have been in production for a long time but the discoveries that have been made recently are allowing exoskeletons to be more useful than ever before. As of today, exoskeletons are being used by the military to provide extra strength and stamina to make their job much easier, and in the field of medicine, exoskeletons are being used to help disabled people walk and use their arms.
The technology of the exoskeleton is being improved rapidly and in no time at all, we will see all disabled people using exoskeletons to make their lives much easier.
3) GPS Tracking
We have been using the services of GPS for so long that we have considered it to be a part of our everyday life. GPS systems play a huge role in keeping our society running. From finding routes to finding yourself everything uses GPS. Even the spy phone app uses GPS to pinpoint the location of your loved ones.
If we don’t have GPS from now on the world as we know it would collapse as almost every company in the world uses some form of GPS location for their business. From Amazon to airplanes, everything would stop if the GPS becomes unavailable.
4) 3D Printing
3D printing is the process of printing an object using various materials in a three-dimensional space. The resultant product is going to be something that you can interact with and hold it, unlike a drawing on a piece of paper. 3D printing is a process that has been introduced only a couple of years ago but it is taking the world by storm. Using 3D printing manufacturers can print complex mechanisms that were not possible to be made using traditional equipment.
Today so many things are being made using 3d Printing, from model airplanes to ventilators. 3D printers are changing the world as we know it.
5) Self-Driving Cars
Only a few decades ago self-driving cars looked like science fiction and not a reality. Today there are self-driving cars that run on the streets as we speak. Self-driving cars are something that is going to save our lives as well as prevent accidents from even happening. This is mainly due to a predictive artificial intelligence algorithm that predicts all the possible outcomes from a set of data in real-time and performs a task depending on the result of the algorithm.
Self-driving cars are not completely ready as of yet but still, they are helping save countless lives every day, so just imagine when they are completely ready to take on the world.
