Choose the LED light system that best suits your crop and interests.

Large indoor grows still need light to grow properly, this is what all major cannabis growers do. However, the lighting system you use can directly affect the outcome of your small garden; moreover, it is recommended to use two types of lights between the growing and flowering process. What is an LED system?

The LED (Light-Emitting Diode) lighting system is a system that uses the energy of light-emitting diodes. In this way, the light output is used to the maximum.

Even so, these lights by themselves do not have too much power, so for crops, groups of these are made, called LED Panels.

Depending on their intended use, expert growers like the ones from Cannabis clubs Barcelona would modify their spectrums and more or fewer units are used depending on how much area is to be cultivated.

There are mainly two types of LED lights: Diodes and COB.

Diodes are composed of several small LEDs distributed over a larger area. Within this style, we can find Quantum Plates and Spider LEDs. Both consist of relatively low-power diodes placed along with a plate. Spider LEDs have “arms” instead of a single plate.

In the case of COBs, this type has only large COB bulbs in which each one illuminates a plant with a lens. They can be found in different forms: in bars and luminaires (with models of one bar, eight bars, and in panels that divide the points of light and spectra).

Spectrum

The system you purchase will be anchored to what benefit you want to obtain through the spectrum you are going to apply to the crop.

For use in the germination phase of seeds and cuttings, for propagation, cloning and the growth of your plants in general, the SPIDERLUX system model C (100W) or The Brookes 2.0 LED of 35W are good choices.

For a spectrum as close as possible to sunlight radiation, the Full Spectrum is used. This will allow you to cover several needs at the same time. Among the Full Spectrum lights, some stand out such as Spiderlux, The Jackson, Titan Solux, Galaxy System, and Solux Kappa.

To make the most of the growth and flowering stages, complementary lights that do not generate much heat are used. A good choice for this phase of the plant is the SMARTBOOSTER 25W LED.

At this stage of the plant, it is also advisable to use red lights like the FRPenetrator (25W) to complement the spectrum of the other bulbs we already have and get better flowers.

Finally, if your priority is to enhance the resins of the plant, improve the smell and taste of the flowers and avoid some pests, ultraviolet light is the spectrum you should use. The Mantis is one of the best in this spectrum.

Remember that a system of LED lights will always improve the quality of your crop. The more panels, the better the light distribution. A recommendation would be to aim for a minimum of 150 to 450 watts per square meter so that you can cover all the spaces. Give it a try and have only the best quality products.
