A Concert to Remember, A Concert to Last a Lifetime

Music fans would always say that going to live concerts is a must to keep that love for music alive. You don’t only listen to the music, but you also see and experience the action of the performers right in front of you.

However, not all concerts have the same feel and the same vibe. Experiences and memories will be different based on the music and genre. There are concerts with crowds who will be quiet and will sing along to the artist’s songs. There are shows where the audience would tap, clap and dance to the artists’ music. And there are rock events where the crowd sings, dances, jump up and down, and goes wild with the band up on stage.

As the show ends, what’s left are the memories, the experience, and the stories to tell. There are concerts that will remain memorable, but in the age of smartphones and social media, keeping the action and memory fresh is possible.

A good example was when a well-known and world-renowned rock band Guns N’Roses came to Manila for their “Not In This Lifetime” World Concert Tour. This was a once-in-a-lifetime concert event that no fan should have missed. And for events like this, you don’t only want to keep the memories alive in your mind but also keep pictures of the action and videos of your favorite songs as the band performs them.

Here are some notes to take when you have the chance to go to your next rock concert.

1: Show Up.

The venue was the newly built Philippine Arena just an hour away from the Metropolis, where most of the band’s fans and listeners are based. And for the band’s enthusiasts, the distance and travel time will not matter anymore.

Being in the event is the only way to satisfy the urge of seeing your favorite band perform live. And contrary to the band’s former image, the show started right on time. And it started with that familiar guitar intro for one of their hits, “Welcome To The Jungle”.

The band lead vocalist and frontman Axl Rose, though older and with a physically different appearance compared to their heydays in the ’80s and ’90s, still has that larger-than-life stage presence. His energy, crowd control, and trademark voice are still mesmerizing.

Slash’s hair-covered face while wearing a top hat is still a sight to behold as you listen to his familiar guitar riffs and leads while he runs around the stage. While Duff McKagan’s bass lines still carry that strong sound that you can sing along with it.

As you enjoy every moment of the show, and while you sing along with every song the band performs, you would know and feel that being right in the middle of all the action is all worth it.

2: Charge Your Phone

And you don’t go to a Guns N’Roses show not to call your friends, not to do your online work, not to write a blog, and not use social media in one corner. You go there to take pictures and shoot videos.

Despite the band’s average age, which most of them could be well within their 40s or 50s, they played all their songs for three solid, non-stop, uninterrupted, action-packed hours. The band’s energy and their passion for their music are felt from the stage to the rafters.

However, with that kind of experience, 3 hours may not be enough. You will need to relive the moments even as you go back home. And that’s where your phone will be very useful. As you take pictures of you and your friend getting wild while Slash plays his guitar, or while you take a video of Axl Rose’s famous snake dance while they play their classic “Sweet Child O’Mine”, a fully charged phone with large storage is essential.

3: Store Those Photos and Videos Wisely

But while you keep those photos and videos, it also means you quickly accumulate megabytes or gigabytes of large files that may not fit on your phone.

There is also an option to download them and store them on your computer, but there is also that risk of your files being corrupted, and you will forever lose those precious memories.

So it is highly suggested that you look for efficient and trustworthy photo storage sites online where you can store, save and protect your irreplaceable photos and videos and keep them forever.

Seeing Guns N’Roses perform live is something that no one will see every day. It will always be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So when you have the chance and the opportunity knocks, never let it pass you by. It will always be satisfaction guaranteed.
