How do you find out your IQ?

You can find out your IQ using several online resources. There are many standard IQ tests, including WAIS-IV, WISC-III, Stanford Binet, Raven Progressive Matrices, and Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children. It also has links to other sites where you can purchase additional tests.

In choosing online IQ resources, there are several factors you should consider. First, be sure to select a reputable website. You want to avoid websites that sell fake products such as “enhancement drugs” or offer dubious advice. Second, look for a variety of different tests rather than relying solely on one type. Third, check reviews by previous users who have taken similar tests. Finally, try to select a test that matches your interests and abilities. If you enjoy puzzles, then you may prefer the Raven Progressive Matrices. On the other hand, if you’re more interested in math, you’ll probably appreciate the Wonderlic Test.

The following is a list of common IQ tests, along with brief descriptions of their content.

Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence — Fourth Edition

This is the gold standard among standardized IQ tests. It consists of four subtests measuring verbal comprehension, perceptual organization, working memory, and processing speed. In addition, it contains three subscales designed to assess nonverbal ability, namely spatial relations, similarities, and matrix reasoning. The WASI-IV takes about 45 minutes to administer.

Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales – Fifth Edition

This is a popular choice among educators because it’s easy to use and inexpensive. However, this version of the test does not include any nonverbal subtests. Instead, it relies entirely upon performance on five Verbal Comprehension, six Perceptual Organization, seven Working Memory, and eight Processing Speed subtests. These scores are combined into a Full-Scale IQ estimate. The SB5 typically requires around 40 minutes to administer.

Wide Range Achievement Test 4th edition

This test measures reading, spelling, and arithmetic achievement. It was developed specifically for students aged 6 through 18 years old. There are separate versions for children ages 3 through 5, grades 1 through 2, and grades 3 through 8. All versions contain approximately 100 multiple-choice items. They require anywhere between 20 and 50 minutes to complete depending on age group.

Woodcock-Johnson III Tests of Cognitive Abilities

This series of tests have been used extensively over the past few decades. Although some researchers believe that these tests were initially created for educational purposes, many psychologists now recommend them for clinical assessments. The WJ III covers both fluid intelligence and crystallized knowledge. Fluid intelligence refers to general cognitive capacity, while crystallized knowledge involves acquired information. Both types of intelligence are essential when assessing intellectual functioning.

Weschler Individual Differences Projective Technique

This projective technique uses inkblots as stimuli. People respond by describing how they think each image relates to themselves or other individuals. Some images prompt more positive responses than negative ones. Others elicit mixed feelings. Researchers have found that the results obtained using this method correlate highly with those produced by traditional psychological testing methods such as the WAIS-R.

Raven’s Progressive Matrices

This test asks participants to select which of several possible answers best completes incomplete patterns. For example, if there are 12 circles arranged in a row, one circle must be removed from the middle so that all remaining circles form two rows of six. Participants may choose option A or B. Option A would involve selecting the correct number of circles in the top row. In contrast, option B would entail selecting the correct number of circles within the bottom row. If the participant chooses option A, they will receive credit for correctly identifying the missing piece.

Remember, not all IQ tests measure precisely the same thing. It’s recommendable that you try different types of IQ tests to see which ones suit you best. You can also take free IQ tests with instant results on Quiz Beez and get your score instantly. You can also check the paid IQ test of 123 test. You should be aware, though, that IQ tests measure only certain aspects of intelligence. Therefore, even though two tests appear identical, they may differ slightly in terms of the specific skills measured. Also, keep in mind that IQ tests tend to correlate moderately well with one another. That means that people who perform poorly on one test will likely perform similarly poorly on others.
