Before getting it on a ladder, make sure that all the bulbs work and there are no worn areas in the wires. Do not attempt to repair worn wires. If a damaged wire is found, it is easier to replace the whole wire than to rescue the fire.
Place the power supply closer to the edge of the roof
It can be placed in the hallway, because most houses do not have a power socket on the roof. You need at least a good external cable. Choose an external cable that is compatible with the light string and ensure that it can withstand wind and rain.
If your gallery light can be covered by something, you can plug in a power adapter and place the power outlet between the cover and the light.
