English Premier League Season Ticket Prices

With full capacity stadiums expected for the forthcoming premier league football season, football fans up and down the country are preparing to part with various amounts of money for season tickets to ensure they don’t miss their favourite teams in action. Prices of season tickets can vary considerably, and it’s not always the one’s you’d imagine that charge the most.

Runaway premier league champions Manchester City may have some tickets at the higher end of the price spectrum at £950.00 each, but it can cost as little as £25.00 a season to watch the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne in action. Although £950.00 for a season worth of football at the Etihad may sound somewhat expensive, compared to Arsenals starting price of £2,995 for a club level season ticket, some may consider it a bargain.

The cheapest priced season ticket at the Emirates will see the Gunners fans having to part with £891.00. With such large amounts of money involved, it’s not surprising that some fans choose to pay for their seasons’ tickets with a short term loan or a credit card. The majority of football clubs allow their fans to pay for season tickets via direct debit through a finance agreement. These types of payments are usually spread over 7 to 10 months. Depending on the credit card, paying for a season ticket using this method can sometimes result in zero interest.

Not far behind Arsenal as the most expensive season tickets are their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Their new one billion pound stadium has to be paid for somehow, and all that luxury comes at a price with the cheapest tickets up for grabs at £807.00. If fans want to really push the boat out, they will have to part with a mammoth £2,200 for the most expensive tickets.

The top four finishers and champion league winners, Chelsea, not surprisingly, are also in the top four of highest priced season tickets. The West London club charge just shy of £600.00 for the cheapest ticket while their most expensive rises to £940.00. Not bad compared to Spurs or Arsenal, considering neither of the North London teams qualified for either the Champions League or Europa League.

The lowest-priced season tickets at the newly promoted sides, Brentford, Watford and Norwich, are all in the £400.00 bracket at £419.00, £438.00 and £499.00 respectively. The most expensive ticket out of the newcomers is Norwich who charges fans £907.00, over £300.00 more than those premium tickets at Watford, which come in at £567.00. Watching Brentford in the high-end seats in the 2021-2022 season will set fans back £740.00.

If you’re a red rather than a blue on Merseyside, it will cost you over £250.00 more to watch your team if you choose the cheapest seats on the ground. Everton’s £420.00 may seem like a bargain compared to their rivals £685.000, which is what it costs to sit on the famous kop. Then again, with little success coming Everton’s way in recent years, it’s not surprising former premier league and champions league winners Liverpool charge fans more than the blue half of the city.
